Reciprocal and Quotient Identities

On November 28th/29th we:

You will have a quiz next day on solving trig equations algebraically.

Here is the video from today:

Term 1 Retests

On November 20th/21st we:

  • had our in-class retests
  • used the rest of the class as a work period if time permitted

Term 1 marks cut-off is on November 21st for Pre-Calculus 12.  Marks will be sent out by email on that date (or shortly after).

Solving Trig Equations (Part 1)

On November 19th/25th we:

  • learned how to solve trig equations with radians and reciprocal identities
  • were assigned questions from the WorkText (Section 9.2 # 4, 6 -8)

Your retest is November 20th/21st.  Day 2 will learn this topic on November 25th.

Work Period – Reviewing Unit 1 and 2

On November 15th/18th we:

In-class retests will be on November 20th/21st.  November 21st is the end of Term 1.

Our next unit will be a continuation of Trigonometry.

Trigonometry Test

On November 13th/14th we:

  • had our unit test on L.O. 4 to 7
    • L.O. 4: Demonstrate an understanding of how to convert between degrees and radian measure.
    • L.O. 5: Solve problems involving trigonometric ratios for angles in standard position (both in radians and degrees).
    • L.O. 6: Graph and analyze trigonometric functions.
    • L.O. 7: Model situations and solve problems using sinusoidal functions.
  • handed in our WorkTexts for our homework check

Next day you will see your tests in class and prepare for any retests you choose to take.  If you are not taking any retests, please treat next class as a work period.

Your retest day is in class on November 20th/21st.

Trigonometry Review Class

On November 8th/12th we:

Your unit test is scheduled for November 13th/14th and will cover the following learning outcomes:

  • L.O. 5: Solve problems involving trigonometric ratios for angles in standard position (both in radians and degrees).
  • L.O. 6: Graph and analyze trigonometric functions.
  • L.O. 7: Model situations and solve problems using sinusoidal functions.

You will be given a sign-up link for your retests on November 14th/15th (after viewing your . The actual retest day is in class on November 20th/21st.

Applying Trigonometric Functions

On November 6th/7th we:

Your unit test is scheduled for November 13th/14th and will cover the following learning outcomes:
