On December 18th/19th we:

- learned how to solve exponential equations (cases without logarithms) (here is the video)
- practiced with the handout
- were asked to complete a survey about our Sinusoidal Task

On December 19th (Day 2 only) we also worked on our letter to the 2020 version of ourselves and handed that in.

On December 16th/17th we had our test on the last two learning outcomes for this unit:

- L.O. 10: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use trig identities to solve problems.
- L.O. 11: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use trig identities to prove trigonometric statements.

We will be learning about solving exponential equations without logarithms next class.

On December 12th/13th we:

- learned about exponential functions (here is the lesson video)
- were given a handout to practice our graphing

On **December 16th*/17th*** **(note that this date has been revised)** we will be assessing the last two learning outcomes for this unit:

- L.O. 10: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use trig identities to solve problems.
- L.O. 11: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use trig identities to prove trigonometric statements.

On December 6th/9th we:

- went over our quizzes from L.O. 8
- discussed our upcoming test by going over L.O. 8 and 9
- were shown the link to the extra practice (here it is!)
- were shown the formula sheet

Your unit test will be in two parts. On December 10th/11th we will be assessing the following learning outcomes:

- L.O. 8: Demonstrate an understanding of how to solve trigonometric equations algebraically (with a scientific calculator).
- L.O. 9: Demonstrate an understanding of how to solve trigonometric equations graphically (with technology).

On **December 16th*/17th*** **(note that this date has been revised)** we will be assessing the last two learning outcomes for this unit:

- L.O. 10: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use trig identities to solve problems.

On December 4th/5th we:

- learned about sum, difference, and double identities
- were assigned questions from the WorkText (Section 9.5 and 9.6)
- were reminded about our journal for the Sinusoidal Function task. As a reminder, your journal is due on December 3rd/4th. Here is a link to the file so you can add your photos and work.
